Mothers Day Community Picnic

Join the second annual Mother's Day Community Picnic hosted by Maternal Mental Health Collective of Savannah Sunday May 8th from 10am to 12pm.   All mothers – including pregnant mamas – are welcome, as are partners, dads, grandparents, kids, pets, and anyone else who wants to celebrate with you. Bring your own picnic to Forsyth for this free, fun, and laidback outdoor gathering. There will be cold beverages and lots of good company. All moms in attendance will have a chance to have a portrait taken of you (with or without your children) by a professional photographer – a Mother's Day gift courtesy of Myra Dell Photography: facebook.com/myradellphotography. Come find your community, meet other moms, and relax at this springtime event.

 

Springtime Tea

Enjoy Springtime Tea at the Davenport House Museum on 323 E. Broughton St. Savannah.  Learn about tea traditions and experience an early 19th century tea in Davenport House’s beautiful courtyard garden. Costumed interpreters will join guests for refreshment and conversation. Admission is $18 per adult and $14 per child and takes place on Wednesdays and Thursday in May at 5pm. 

44th Annual Scottish Games

The 44th Savannah Scottish Games is returning on May 7, 2022, at the historic Bethesda Academy after two-year COVID hiatus. Join in welcoming the return of the athletes, pipe bands, highland dancers, border collies, historic reenactors, Scottish vendors, Celtic musicians, and clans back to one of the most beautiful settings in the country. May 7th, 2022 is Free Comic Book Day.  There are 46 titles to choose from and Neighborhood Comics located at 1205 Bull St. Savannah is participating.  Green category is for all ages, Blue is for teens 13 years or older and red is mature.  For more information view the website https://www.freecomicbookday.com/.


Healthy Kids Day across Coastal Georgia YMCA

All 10 Coastal Georgia YMCA branches are hosting Healthy Kids Day events on Saturday, May 7 to help kids stay healthy and encourage healthy habits all summer long! They will be opening the pools for the summer season along with hosting class demos, face-painting, games, bounce houses, food vendors, a backpack/suitcase drive, a dance-off, healthy snack demos, Zumba, yard sales, obstacle courses, crafts, and much more!
