The famous Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade is March 17th at 10:15am at Abercorn and Gwinnet. For those leery of the crowds check out Shamrocks and Shenanigans at 400 W. River St. Kid friendly events will be available from March 16th to the 20th in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. This 5-day event will include mini-golf, music, crafts, cookies, photos with Lucky the Leprechaun and more!
2. Springtime Tea at the Davenport House Museum
Take a step back in time and enjoy Springtime Tea with the Davenport’s. Hurry up as this event is selling out quickly. Enjoy an interactive 60 minute tea in this 19th century garden setting. Fun for children and parents alike.
3. Music and Movement with Live Oak Library
Music and Movement is being offered through the week by Live Oak Library System. There are two different events at Islands Library Thursday, March 17th and Oglethorpe Mall Library Saturday, March 19th. This event is for preschoolers ages 0 to 5 and registration is required. The first children’s event comes to the new Enmarket Arena! Disney on Ice will be presenting on Friday March 18th to Sunday March 20th. Meet all your favorite characters from the classic Mickey, Minnie and Goofy to the stars from Frozen Moana, Coco, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. Tickets are still available through ticketmaster. Visit Old Fort Jackson any day this week expect March 17th (in honor of St. Patrick’s). Old Fort Jackson is Georgia’s oldest standing fort and offers educational and exciting interactive fun for the entire family. Cannon firings are at 11:00am and 2:00pm daily.
